Strange Things I’ve Seen Thus Far:
-These duck looking geese by the pond, like a Canada Goose with Mallard Duck markings. Disturbing.
-Saturday night I was walking home and a man ran by dressed in running shoes, a silk teddy and bunny ears.
-Also at the park by my house there is a bandstand, a few days ago I walked by and it was infested with children under the age of 5. There must have been like 60 plus children running around with their parents. Apparently my neighborhood is nicknamed ‘nappy-valley’ because of all the babies in the neighborhood. *
* The other side of the Common, encompassing Battersea Rise, the valley with Northcote Road running along its bottom and the area known as "Between the Commons" - the other common being Wandsworth Common - is popular with young middle-class professional families. Such is the density of "yummy mummies" in the area that it is popularly known as "Nappy Valley", a variation on Napa Valley, the Californian wine-growing region whose produce is presumed to be drunk in large quantities at residents' dinner parties. Although this area is often referred to as Clapham, it is in SW11 and is, in fact, in Battersea - part of the London Borough of Wandsworth, not Lambeth. from http://www.eleflat.co.uk/Clapham-48_SW4-info.htm
